I believe in holistic grooming. Lots of customers ask me what that is. In a nutshell, it’s making the grooming experience as stress-free as possible for your furball. Here’s what I do:

  • No dog is in a kennel while waiting to be groomed. This is why I only groom one dog at a time so they receive my sole attention during their appointment.
  • Dogs should feel safe with me and the grooming space before the grooming begins. If you know your dog is scared of grooming please let me know and we will set up a meet and greet at my grooming space. Bring lots of your dog’s high value items with you (treats, kibble, toys, blanket etc.).
  • Dogs need breaks! Each dog gets time to stretch their legs in my fenced backyard.
  • Positive reinforcement is extremely important when I work with my grooming clients. I want to make their grooming not just safe but enjoyable and fun!
  • When a dog is aggressive during grooming it is due to fear and feeling unsafe. I take my time and go at your dog’s speed and comfort level.
  • I might give you, the pet parent, a little homework to make next time’s groom go even better.
